Bah Humbug to the Bah Humbugs - It's Christmas!!!!

With Christmas just over a week away many thoughts switch to staff Christmas Parties, family gatherings and what coloured socks/pants/shirts you might receive for Christmas.

It’s also a great time to think about next years endeavors – maybe trying something you haven't done before, possibly perfecting something you have, or just planning what you might like to do when you have some spare time.

One of the more unique Blokart events coming up in February is the European Ice Blokart Championships – that’s right, ICE!! With the wheels swapped out for blades the speed is sure to increase and the ‘grin’ may get wider. Some CBC members are thinking of attending this event so if you would like to join us why not get in touch and we’ll try and organise a group.

Blokart + Ice Blades = Hard water sailing........Oh yeah!
Will you be heading to Lithuania?

It’s also good to see some of the dates for 2019 events in the UK have already been confirmed with several ‘B Races’ already booked in the diary along with the British Blokart Open Championships in September, which will again be hosted at Snowdonia Aerospace (Llanbedr, Wales).

I’m sure many of you will have at least one or two of these events on the radar so I look forward to seeing you out there racing.

However, there’s more to Blokart sailing than racing and there’s equally as many owners that have no interest in sqeezing through groups of other sailors all trying for the same space of ground – that’s where CBC club days are great. Our club days are very informal and generally consist of Blokart owners getting together and just sailing. With a 750 metre long runway which was beautifully resealed ealrier this year there’s plenty of opportunity to ‘just go sailing’.

If you would like to attend any of our club days please sign up to the website and register via our new events calendar for days you might like to attend. There’s no need to pay when you register, we’ll sort that out on the day for most of our events. Registering helps us know who to expect and how much cake (or other nibbles) to supply.

We also have a number of other events listed from around the UK and across the world. For these we will try and post the appropriate link for you to directly view those events.

With the new club website only going live a couple of weeks ago there will be some learning as to what is required by all of you and what isn’t – please feel free to leave comments and suggestions. We can’t guarantee we’ll action them but we would still like to know what you think.

There’s also scope to advertise your business on the club website. Get in touch directly to discuss this.

Last but not least – For current Blokart owners, DON'T FORGET TO RENEW your national memberships before the New Year so you can come sailing on January 1st. Last year only a couple of us were silly brave enough to get out there, but it turned out to be a good day sailing with a nice breeze, albeit cold.

Merry Christmas everyone

See you in 2019
