Central Blokart Club Weekend Camp

Get this in your diary - a weekend of Blokart sailing, maybe a bit of racing, BBQ? most likely!

This weekend is open to all Central Blokart Club Members and any BLSA members who would like to attend.

There will be limited camping on site for Tents, Motorhomes and Caravans so if you intend to stay over please indicate this when you sign up.

The normal day fee applies for each day and can be paid on the day if you sail.

Details for Finmere are as follows –

All BLSA members and other Blokart owners with suitable insurance are welcome to join other Midlands sailors at Finmere Aerodrome on the 3rd Sunday of each month.

We generally meet from 10am and finish at 4.30 -5pm (or when we’re worn out or its dark). Cost is £10 per kart/pilot

If sharing a Blokart it’s only £3 for any additional sailors. Please let Steve Harvey (077 3844 0841) know if you plan on attending as he is required to advise the land owner the approximate numbers likely to be on site. This will also give him the opportunity to let you know entry and meeting points to access the airfield.

There is a friendly group of Ultralight aircraft enthusiasts who also use the site and they have on occasion been known to offer circuits if you’re up for it. For this reason please be vigilant while moving around on site as they may be operational.

As a rule if it’s windy enough for us to get ‘really excited’, it’s too windy for them to fly, so the airstrip is all ours.

It is hoped to hold a weekend social on site during the summer. Date TBC. If there are any changes in the details (weather etc) Steve will post on the club Facebook page.
