Blokart Sailors E-Regatta
Time & Location
About the Event
Let's take a lead from many sailing clubs around the world and get a bit of a sailing fix by using the services of Virtual Regatta.
This online sail racing supplier can get addictive but is a great way of really dialling in the race rules.
Steve from Kiwi Blokarts UK will be hosting the racing each week and further details about how to log in to the private races will be given to those who register as race day gets closer.
In the meantime head to https://www.virtualregatta.com/en/ to see what's on offer.
Creating a game profile is free and you can play on a variety of devices.
All races will be raced using the Virtual Regatta Inshore system and races are generally no longer than 6-7minutes in length and will have a maximum of 20 entries per race. If you sign in and can't join try and jump in on the next race.
The aim is to run a number of races each night and Steve will be attempting to collate the results in to a series.
This first night will be a trial to gauge how things go, find and iron out any issues, hopefully have a bit of fun and will last 1-2 hours, with the occasional break for drinks/cake and toilet stops if required.
Racing will start at 2000hrs BST (London)
